Depart May 11 (arrive Paris May 12) – 22, 2017

For 2017 join us in France as we explore Paris, the Loire Valley and Saumur, home of the French National School of Equitation (and the Cadre Noir) and site of the Saumur CCI 3* Event. Our program will allow us time to enjoy the sights of Paris, visit some of the great chateau, including Chateau Chenonceau, perhaps the most romantic chateau in France and the gardens at chateau Azay-le-Rideau. There will be time to explore in the city of Tours and en route to Saumur visit the Abbey at Fontevraud, the most impressive and well restored medieval abbey I have seen anywhere.

Spend five nights in Saumur, a charming town in the Loire Valley, visit the Ecole Nationale d’Equitation, enjoy a performance and, of course take in the Saumur Horse Trials.

The most romantic and perhaps most beautiful chateau in France is Chenonceaux. Given by Henri II to his mistress, his Queen, Catherine had her moved to a lesser chateau on his death, and proceeded to expand Chenonceaux and it’s gardens. Later have time in Tours.
